Green Growth launches MOOC for trainers in Spring
The project partners are working on this result, as well as on the progress of the mobile application (app) of the circular economy in building renovation works.
The partners of the European Green Growth project plan to launch in Spring the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for construction trainers on circular economy skills to be promoted as a cross-cutting subject among students in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
This MOOC is a learning tool developed in the framework of Green Growth, an initiative belonging to the Erasmus+ programme, which aims to improve the knowledge and awareness of trainers on this topic and how to apply it as a transversal approach in the training they provide.
This course will consist of an introductory module on the circular economy and five training pills on specific topics such as: BIM for circular economy, sustainable materials, strategies for reuse of building materials, calculation of the embedded energy of materials and an introduction to the Level(s) tool.
Later, the consortium will advance other results, among which are:
- Manual on “Circular Economy in Practice” for VET trainers in construction.
- App: mobile application of the circular economy in building renovation works.
- Roadmap for a circular approach in the delivery of construction training.
