Green Growth participates in the High Level Construction Forum
The webinar focused on projects to promote ‘green’ construction at a European level
On 22 November, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción participated in the webinar on ‘Ongoing EU initiatives supporting the green transition of construction’. The event addressed ongoing projects co-funded by the European Commission that contribute to the decarbonisation of the building ecosystem, in the field of training and business innovation.
The meeting was organised by the High Level Construction Forum (HLCF) and chaired by Philippe Moseley, Policy Officer for Circular Economy and Construction Unit C.1 of DG GROW, and was attended by leading actors from the construction sector and representatives of the European Commission.
During the panel discussion on ‘Fostering skills for circular construction’, Beatriz Oliete, head of the International Projects department of the entity, presented the results of Green Growth:
- Handbook for construction trainers ‘Circular economy in practice’.
- Course on circular economy skills for sectoral trainers.
- Mobile application for operators and SMEs that promotes circular principles in renovation works.
- Roadmap for training centres to manage and include the circular economy as a cross-cutting subject in training plans.
