The Ministry of Education and VET recognises the ‘Green Growth’ project for its impact on sustainable construction training
Two projects coordinated by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción have been acknowledged for being “an essential component in developing a productive model that enhances value creation processes and quality employment”.
The General Secretariat for Vocational Education and Training of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports has recognised the European project ‘Green Growth’, coordinated by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, as an initiative of “special relevance to Vocational Education and Training”, alongside another project led by the organisation, ‘Women Can Build’, part of the Erasmus+ programme. This official recognition highlights the project’s efforts to integrate the circular economy as a transversal competence in construction sector training.
Over the past three years, the ‘Green Growth’ project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, has developed innovative training tools, including a handbook on circular economy applied to the sector, an online course for teachers, a mobile app for workers and SMEs, and a roadmap for the adoption of circular economy practices in VET centres.
This official recognition reinforces the commitment of the project’s European consortium partners to sustainability and innovation in vocational education, consolidating its role as a benchmark in the transition towards a circular economy within the construction sector.
